Brad graduated as a dentist in 1982 from the University of Queensland, and practiced as a dentist from 1982. \

Brad graduated from law school in 1998 and his honours thesis was entitled “Material Risk and Causation in Dental Treatment”. He was admitted as a solicitor in 2006. He completed an MBA in 2010. He was called to the bar in March 2011.

He is a foundation fellow of the Faculty of Dentistry of Australian College of Legal Medicine and has provided lectures in the law to dentists and dental students since 2000. In addition he has significant experience in personal injuries and health law. He has experience in administrative and indemnity matters through his roles in the Australian Dental Association, through committees, mediation and advocacy, and through his role as the Clinical Operations Manager at the University of Queensland School of Dentistry and as President of the Australian Dental Association in Queensland.

He also has significant management and consultancy experience with corporate and practitioner clients in relation to clinical operations, practice management and legal risk management. He has presented on law and management for dentists across Australia, and overseas on a regular basis for over 10 years, for many years at ADANSW as part of their CPD programme.

Brad currently is at the Queensland private bar full time, and his practice includes health practitioner regulation, employment law, civil and commercial law and family law. He still works as a consultant to dentists and dental businesses and is the co founder of the Australian College of Dental Education.
